Today, we are excited to introduce you to Richard Anderson, Project Coordinator at Vista Technologies, a division of Office Interiors. Richard has been an integral part of our team for over six and a half years with his expertise in purchasing, sales support, and system administration. His experience has helped us to create strong and successful project outcomes for our clients while maintaining our high standards.
What drew you to start working with Office Interiors and Vista Technologies?
When I first came across Office Interiors, I was immediately drawn to the creativity and professionalism showcased on the company's website. I knew right away that I wanted to be a part of such a dynamic organization.
Can you briefly describe your role and responsibilities as a Project Coordinator? What inspired you to pursue a career in project support?
My role encompasses a combination of purchasing agent and sales support. Additionally, I am responsible for system administration for Vista's primary project software. Playing my part in the project development gives me a chance to help others on my team be successful and I am proud to do my best in that effort. That success is something that everyone working on a project can share and enjoy.
What is your favorite aspect of working at Office Interiors?
My favorite aspect of working at Office Interiors is the opportunity to collaborate as part of a team, pooling our talents to produce outstanding results. After working independently for nine years during night shifts, I appreciate the support and camaraderie that comes with being part of a strong team.
How do you approach planning and implementing new projects? Can you share a memorable project or accomplishment you have achieved in your role?
When planning and implementing new projects, I adhere to our established processes and strive to ensure that all stakeholders are held to the same standards. Clear communication, attention to detail, and diligent organization are key elements of my approach. One memorable accomplishment in my role was successfully developing several reports and forms for our A/V project-building application without having an instruction manual. This allowed for smoother workflows and more efficient communication within the team.
Outside of work, what are some hobbies or interests?
I am a cinephile at heart, but I also like discovering new music and gaming.
Any interesting facts about yourself?
I have over 15 years of retail management experience, 9 years of hospitality experience, 6 years of army military police experience, and 2 years of ballroom dance instruction. I have also owned two hairless dogs.
